Founded in 1935 & currently led by the 3rd & 4th generations, Setterlin specializes in unique renovations in all sectors of commercial construction. Setterlin chose to be a leader in sustainable building & believes that using their own experience on their building will benefit relationships with owners & architects for years to come.
Originally this was the site of the Andersons Concrete headquarters; before I 70/71 was constructed. The site selected was a brown-field site w/ several abandoned structures. This area has begun redevelopment as an office park & the new facility fits into this context. The addition is attached to the back side of the original office building with a rehabilitated warehouse next door forming an interesting construction complex. The front facade is now to the rear of the building which gives the facility a view to their own private green space as well as views to down town. The interstate now acts like the front drive with the building rising, becoming visible & acting like a billboard for the R.W. Setterlin Building Company. This was emphasized by extending the rear parapet wall & placing an older style company logo on it.
