Grand Event Center

Location: Columbus, Ohio

The Grand Event Center is the community center for the City of Grandview Heights, Ohio and the entertainment hub of the Grandview Yard mixed use development.  Located just west of Ohio State University’s campus, this 14,000 sq ft building’s exterior is clad with black ironspot brick and metal panels.  This palette creates a distinctive visual identity for the Event Center.

The main ballroom seats up to 300 and is supported by a full commercial kitchen, pre-function space, and multiple break-out conferencing rooms.

Advanced lighting and robust technology throughout the Event Center provide options for a variety of uses, including weddings and receptions, community events, and daily use as a business conferencing center for Nationwide Insurance.

The Event Center also provides a protected direct connection to the adjacent Marriott multi-story hotel.  Between these two buildings is an active exterior courtyard.  Accessed directly from the main ballroom, this outside area is surrounded with brick and stone and includes overhead festoon lighting with a large fire pit gathering space.
