River Ridge Residence

Location: Delaware, Ohio

The traditional farms dotting the countryside south of Delaware, Ohio served as the inspiration for the River Ridge Residence.  Located on the highest ridge of a large, agrarian site, existing ponds form a scenic canvas for the residence’s buildings which are tied together by low walls in a “farmstead” composition that feels natural in this landscape.   

While forms and materials reflect those of the surrounding farms and countryside, spatial relationships and details are contemporary, aligning to the lifestyle of the owners. The idyllic scenery is included as an integral part of the Residence’s design.
